Getting started

In this chapter we will present you with a brief overview of: What Smart Mobile Studio is, the programming environment and its features, the core units that make up the backbone of the VJL (Visual JavaScript Component Library) and how all applications rests on the fundamental object: TApplication. We will also have a look at commonalities like how to display messageboxes, alter the look and feel of a control, navigate between forms and more.

We assume that the reader is familiar with Delphi or FreePascal, and as such this chapter is meant to demonstrate similarities and differences.
